Lee S. Rigsby awarded Certificate of Service

Lee S. Rigsby, President of Vanguard Solutions, Inc. was awarded a Certificate of Service by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) for twenty years service to the Committee on Coal and Coke (D 5) at the Spring 2000 meeting held in Toronto, Ontario.

Mr. Rigsby attended his first ASTM D 5 meeting in 1977 and has been a member of D 5 since 1980. He has served as a member of sub committee D 21, on Methods of Analysis, sub committee D 23 on Sampling and subcommittee D 7 on Physical Testing.

He has served as Secretary and Chairperson of sub committee D 02, on Nomenclature, Definition and Editorial. He is currently Chairperson of sub committee of D 30 on Quality Assurance, and chairs the Hardgrove Grindability Task Group and Editorial Task Group. He serves on the ISO TC 27 committee representing US coal interests to the International Standards Organization (ISO).

Vanguard Solutions moves into a new headquarters.

Vanguard Solutions completed its acquisition and move into a new headquarters on June 30, 1999.

The property is located at 3012 State Route 5 in Ashland, approximately 5 miles from our old location. State Route 5 is located off US 23 across from the AK Steel plant. Feel free to drop by and visit.

Scott Rigsby completes requirements for Master of Business Administration degree.

Vanguard Solutions increased its number of MBA degrees by one as Scott completed the requirements for his MBA. Graduation is set for June 11, 1999.

The MBA was earned during participation in the inaugural class of the Ohio University MBA Without Boundaries program. The MBA Without Boundaries is a graduate program providing access to on-line education through cutting edge information technology and face-to-face interactions among faculty and colleagues during high intensity residencies. The WB Learning Community merges robust project-based action learning with the power of electronic collaboration, enabling participants to integrate working and learning experiences while continuing career growth.
